On Friday, 3 August 2012, twenty-nine individuals, called as missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, gathered at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in the Relief Society Room to begin their mission in the Family and Church History Headquarters Mission. These twenty-nine missionaries came from Maine to California from North Carolina to Idaho, and some from the international areas Saskatchenwan, Canada and the Cook Islands.
President Wayne S. Peterson, the President of the mission, welcome these new missionaries.
We were oriented to our mission and assigned to the Ensign Third Branch of the Salt Lake Ensign Stake. We will meet in the chapel of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for the duration of our mission.
Priesthood and one of the Sunday School classes meet in the Jade Room and we see the view of the Salt Lake Temple.
We were excited to begin this venture in our lives.
